# Some Random Project
A project to revive the old idea of "link collections".

Social media kinda dictates what you should see, and it discourages you from exploring the internet.
Suggestion algorithms appear somehow comfortable, since you don't have to put in the work to find something cool.

Back in the 90s and 00s, people collected links to cool websites and displayed them on their own websites. This allowed you to explore things that no search engine or suggestion algorithm could ever present to you.

The content creator ['Technology Connections'](https://www.youtube.com/@TechnologyConnections) describes the mentioned behavior quite well -> Video: ["Algorithms are breaking how we think"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEJpZjg8GuA)
